What Is Carronite?

Carronite is Carron’s patented reinforcement system for acrylic baths. It uses a triple-layer reinforcement process to strengthen the bath while retaining the smooth acrylic bathing surface.

The additional layers make the bath more rigid, giving it a solid feel when bathing or standing to shower. They also improve insulation, helping bath water stay warmer for longer than in a standard acrylic bath.

Matching Bath Panels

Panel dimensions are length/width x height. An end panel is only needed where the short end of the bath is exposed.

What does single ended mean?
A single-ended bath has the waste and tap area at one end, leaving the opposite end available for reclining.

How does Carronite differ from standard acrylic?
Carronite adds a triple-layer reinforcement system to the acrylic bath, providing greater strength, rigidity and heat retention.

Which sizes are available?
Choose from 1500 x 700mm, 1600 x 700mm, 1600 x 800mm, 1700 x 700mm, 1700 x 750mm, 1700 x 800mm, 1700 x 900mm, 1800 x 725mm or 1800 x 800mm.

Does the bath have pre-drilled tap holes?
No. The bath is supplied undrilled, allowing your installer to position suitable bath taps to suit your installation.

Is a bath waste included?
No. A bath waste is sold separately. Wastes are available separately.

Are bath panels included?
Only when selected. Choose the front panel, end panel or both using the product options. Select Not Required for any panel you do not need.

Do I need an end panel?
An end panel is needed where the short end of the bath is exposed. If both short ends are enclosed by walls, an end panel is generally unnecessary.

Are taps and a bath screen included?
No. Taps and a bath screen are available to buy separately.
